  1. Hello Faisal:
How cleverly you have composed this collage of image and verse. It is extraordinary how such few words can convey such a wealth of meaning.

We wish you a very Happy Weekend!

  2. Dear Jane and Lance,
I had an English teacher at school who defined poetry as 'the right word in the right place'.
Thankyou for your best wishes; may your weekend be lit with a kindly light too!

  3. Dear Faisal, I love this little work of art, as Jane and Lance said few words conveying such wealth of meaning. I love the way it suggests applicability to all living things, human and animals as well as plants, and says something about our dependence on each other. Must have been very satisfying making this. cheers, catmint

  4. Dear Catmint, growth occurs because the growing is being encouraged. In a sense, yes, this poem's about stewardship.

  6. Hi, Andrea...yes, though the poem 'began' in reference to gardening, it came out of a more general feeling of nurture.
