What the Wood

I'm wondering what to do with the branches that have fallen in the winds.
I want them remembered.
I'm trying to find a way to make the connection they have for me real to the world outside my own.
They twist and bend as I do. They grow towads the light.
My ideas are still forming. Nothing that is real ever dies.

  1. Build a hurdle, a wattle fence, as a boundary or a visual barrier. They should weave OK since they are not straight?

  2. A hurdle's a good idea, Diana. They won't weave, as such, because they're quite stiff. Mmm. I'm thinking they're too good to throw away. Some sort of tribute.

  3. frames, boats, shades... I don't know just rambling here.
But I am glad you are not burning them. Glad you let them live : )

  4. Rambling's good, Demie. A boat would be nice, or some sort of structure you could enter to take you to another world,,,

  5. ... and ephemeral arty installation.... (and look how lovely they look when you place an incongruous item beside them)....

  6. Funnily enough, it started out as an installation that proved to be too difficult to construct. I'd like it to continue to find its way in that direction. Thanks Ronnie.

  8. Velma, yes, I may just have to be practical about this -

  9. What a shame we have to be practical. I vote for an ephemeral, ever changing installation. Just sticking them in the ground in any particular pattern isn't of course particularly permanent. Photos and ideas make me think of Japanese garden.
