I apologise to all the gardeners confronted here by poetry. Just so you know, I'll be separating my writing from my gardening work in another, new blog. I've enjoyed the privilege of an elastic blog though...thank you for attending! Faisal.
First, we love your poetry and are delighted to learn that it, and we assume all matters poetical, will have their own particular space. That is a treat to which we much look forward.
Secondly, how beautifully and imaginatively you have presented this post. You are, dear, dear Faisal, such a creative and talented person in so very many different ways and we love you for it.
Thirdly, 'Distance' is so very moving as well as thought provoking and makes for such an interesting start to our week. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
Ah, Jane and Lance, the perfect observers you are! I felt it wasn't fair to keep posting writing on a blog ostensibly dealing with gardening, and besides, I've felt it was time I gave my writing more room to grow - in its own garden! Thank you.
In some ways I think it will be detrimental to separate poetry and gardening, I think the two things flow well together ! But you do what you feel in your spirit is right to do - which I know you will.
Now you've got me wondering Paul, because there is a sort of cross-fertilisation going on when blogs incorporate more than one idea, or when writers and readers of blogs have more than one interest...Stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteThank you.
I look forward to your new blog... will you post the address on this blog site?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Matthew. I'll be making a big splash, let there be no doubt, when Faisal #2 is ready!
DeleteThe poem is wonderful, and I, for one, think poetry and gardening go together perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Sharmon...I'm quite touched!
